hello world

hi everybody! my name is billy stanton and this is the first blog post that i will be posting.

what is billystanton.com?

billystanton.com aims to serve as an extension of myself. here, i will post interesting blog posts (known as CTRL) about various topics, mainly computers and technology. however, many of my other hobbies will be covered.

additionally, i will be posting project posts (projx) regarding various different projects that i have been working on, and or are fully completed that i wish to share with the world. hopefully, these posts can inspire others to follow my path or even to create their own unique path in life.

the development process

i aim to make a separate post going further in depth about this soon, however this website has taken me around 3 weeks to fully develop to this point utilizing java (spring framework). granted, there will be many different additions/changes made throughout the next few weeks, months, even years.

the most important part about this website to me was to ensure that it is designed and created fully by myself. this meant that i could not use any opensource cms software, such as wordpress or bludit, but instead create my own (lightweight) blog system custom tailored to my requirements.

what's coming??

as of now.. the website is quite empty. however, expect more content shortly on my various different projects, and blog posts about completely random stuff. and while you're here, i highly encourage you to leave a post on the wall, or this blog post! obviously, creating a website like this is not an easy task and all of your support is greatly appreciated.
